Shake up those spray cans and dust off your creative crainum because we are kicking off the first official Gamesprays.com contest!  Help spread the word and this could become a regular event!

The Loot

1st Place

Left 4 Dead 2The Left 4 Dead 2 game gifted to your Steam account, your profile featured on the gamesprays.com homepage and a unique Gamesprays Trophy for your member profile.  If the winner already purchased L4D2, is not of age, or simply does not want the game, then they may choose a game of equal or lesser value from Steam's vast selection.   Winner must have Steam in order to receive the game.  Gamesprays.com will contact the winner for their Steam ID / email.

2nd & 3rd Place

Featured as runners up on the homepage and a unique silver/bronze Gamesprays Trophy in your member profile.

How to Enter

  • Submit sprays using the standard spray form and you will automatically be entered into the contest.
  • Spray content is completely up to you.   This means you can continue to make sprays about anything you think will help you win.
  • Only the first 14 sprays submitted during the contest period will be eligible. Each has the potential to increase your overall contest standings.  If you submit more than 14 sprays, additional sprays will appear on the site but will not be included in the contest.
  • Only one spray is required to be eligible to win the contest.
  • Standard approval process is in place.  This means no, hateful, racist, bigoted, sexist, harassing, or sexually-oriented content.  Sprays are typically approved within 1 - 24 hours.
  • If you're me, you're not eligible.  My account (Gamesprays) will not show up on the leaderboard.
  • Free account required to enter.  Create Account.  No purchase neccessary.

Contest Period

The contest period is 3 weeks.  Starting on  November 19th, 2009 @ 12:00 PM EST and ending on December 10th, 2009 @ 7:00 PM EST.   Sprays can be submitted at anytime during this period.  The leaderboard will automatically lock in the winners on December 10th, 2009 @ 7:00 PM.

Determining the Winners

Winners are determined based on the total, combined, unique downloads on the sprays you submit during the contest period.  The winner will ideally have the highest quality and or most popular sprays with the gaming community.  Basing it on downloads has the added benefit of allowing the general users to vote by simply getting what they came for, a quality spray.  While contestants may go for quantity (14 max), higher quality or creative sprays are naturally downloaded more.  It may only take one good spray to win the entire contest.  Spray wisely.

All sprays will remain live after the contest ends but additional downloads will not affect the contest standings.  Feel free to promote your sprays and member profiles responsibly, meaning, no spam.  Only unique downloads are counted, repeat downloads from the same person are ignored.

Leaderboard

The "Leaderboard" will display the current contest standings.  All members that submit sprays during the contest period will appear along with their username, # of eligible sprays and the current combined download count.

No Cheating

Cheating will not be tolerated.  There will be precautions in place to detect and ignore repeat downloads by the same individual.  Sprays can be downloaded multiple times; but it will not increment the download count more than once per unique person.  Gamesprays.com reserves the right to disqualify votes, sprays and if necessary, contestests.  Don't cheat.
